University–Industry Collaboration, A New Chapter Begins Faculty and Students from Soochow University’s School of Textile and Clothing Engineering Visit BURGEREE
To further strengthen university–industry collaboration and promote the integration of industry, academia, and research, a delegation of faculty members and students from the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering, Soochow University, recently visited Burgeree New Tech Jiangsu Co., Ltd. for a study tour and technical exchange. The visit aimed to build a bridge from theory to practice, allowing students to experience first-hand how textile technologies are innovatively applied in cutting-edge fields such as acoustic materials.


Accompanied by R&D team members Ms. Zhu Congcong and Ms. Liu Liping, the delegation toured the product showroom and intelligent manufacturing workshops. Acoustic materials that combine functionality with aesthetics, along with highly automated production lines, transformed textbook theory into vivid industrial practice, leaving a strong impression on the students. The engineers’ detailed explanations further deepened the participants’ understanding of material properties and process innovation.
During the exchange session, Burgeree welcomed the visit from the Soochow University delegation and expressed its willingness to collaborate with universities in cultivating professional talent. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including R&D trends in acoustic materials, green manufacturing processes, and students’ career development, achieving a meaningful exchange between theory and practice.


This visit not only provided valuable hands-on learning opportunities for students from the School of Textile and Clothing Engineering, but also brought fresh, youthful perspectives to Burgeree. The faculty representatives expressed their appreciation for the thoughtful arrangements and looked forward to deeper cooperation in areas such as scientific research collaboration and internship base development. The event successfully established a new link for collaborative talent cultivation between university and industry, laying a solid foundation for jointly advancing the high-quality development of the textile new materials sector.
